L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Wood & Wood, launched in 2019 by Issey Miyake and crafted by perfumers Dora Baghriche and Marie Salamagne, is a woody aromatic fragrance that balances crisp citrus notes with warm spiciness. The opening of grapefruit and elemi gives way to the heart of cardamom and apricot, before settling into a base of ambroxan, cedarwood, sandalwood, vetiver, and patchouli. This composition marries the freshness of Japanese aesthetics with the depth of woody accords, reflecting Issey Miyake's blend of innovation and traditional craftsmanship.
This fragrance layers well with a light mist on your pulse points. The citrus opening is bright but fades quickly, making it essential to let the warm woody base notes develop over time for full impact.
