The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016 by Issey Miyake and created by perfumers Dominique Ropion and Claire Liégent, L'Eau d'Issey Pure is a Floral Aquatic fragrance that builds upon the original's purity with a more sensual twist. The composition opens with Sea Notes, evoking the freshness of water on skin, while a floral heart of lily, jasmine, orange blossom, and damask rose adds warmth and sweetness. The base notes of ambergris and cashmere wood provide an animalic depth that transforms this fragrance into something both familiar and alluring.
This fragrance blooms best close to skin rather than filling the room. A single spritz on each wrist or behind your ears is enough for it to develop fully over time. The marine top notes are fleeting, but the warm floral heart and base linger throughout the day.
