The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016, L'Eau d'Issey Pure Eau de Toilette by Issey Miyake is a blend of marine and white floral accords that captures the essence of Japanese elegance. Perfumers Claire Liégent and Dominique Ropion created this fragrance with Sea Notes at its core, complemented by the softness of lily, jasmine, orange blossom, and damask rose. The base notes of cashmere wood and ambergris add a subtle warmth and animalic depth that grounds the composition.
One or two sprays are sufficient — this fragrance opens quickly with its marine top notes but develops its warmth gradually. It's best for daytime wear when you want a subtle yet distinctive presence.
