Prada L'Homme Intense, launched in 2017 and crafted by perfumer Daniela Andrier, is an Oriental Woody fragrance that quickly achieved near-cult status among enthusiasts. Its rich, buttery treatment of iris sets it apart as a pioneering note in mainstream masculine fragrances. The composition opens with the elegance of iris before transitioning into the warmth of amber and patchouli, with tonka bean adding an oriental depth to the scent. Leather and sandalwood anchor the base notes, creating a multi-layered experience that evokes the elusive nature of Prada's sophisticated man.
One or two sprays are sufficient for this fragrance, as it develops its rich layers quickly on the skin. It reads best close to the skin rather than filling a room, so aim for pulse points. The iris and amber notes will bloom within an hour, making it ideal for evening wear.
