Luna Rossa Carbon by Prada, launched in 2017 and crafted by Daniela Andrier, is a modern interpretation of the fougère genre that has fascinated enthusiasts with its distinctive cool metallic 'mineralic' accord. This fragrance opens with the freshness of bergamot and pepper, leading to a heart of lavender and watery notes, before settling into an intriguing base of coal, soil tincture, ambroxan, and patchouli. The result is a scent that reads as both crisp and earthy, creating a distinctive tension between modernity and nature.
This fragrance has a strong opening that fades quickly, so aim for one or two generous sprays initially. The metallic notes are most prominent at first but give way to the warmer base notes over time. It reads best close to skin rather than in a wide sillage.
