The story behind the bottle.
Defender by Boadicea the Victorious is a richly layered Oriental Floral fragrance that balances sweet and spicy notes with warm woody accords. Created by perfumer Kamila Lelakova in 2024, Defender opens with red fruits and cognac, offering an inviting warmth that transitions into honey and licorice for a deep sweetness. The heart introduces ginger and grapefruit, adding a fresh contrast to the spicy myrrh and orange blossom, while the base notes of hay, night-blooming jasmine, tonka bean, labdanum, Peru balsam, red amber, musk, leather, and benzoin create a complex, enveloping finish. This fragrance embodies Boadicea's commitment to British heritage and lasting luxury.
Defender's rich base notes take time to bloom fully, so apply it in light layers for the best effect. It reads well close to skin rather than filling a room, making it perfect for intimate settings or evening wear.
