The story behind the bottle.
Dragon from Boadicea the Victorious — launched in 2024 by a British house that hand-builds each bottle and insists on gender-neutral compositions — opens with a genuinely surprising brightness: peach and raspberry land almost candied, sweet and almost aggressive in their juiciness. Then saffron and cinnamon pull the composition sideways, and incense drags everything into a darker register, turning that fruit into something resinous and temple-warm rather than a summer orchard.
The base is where Dragon earns its name. Turkish rose and magnolia sit in a powder-soft cloud over cashmere musk and vanilla, while amber keeps the whole thing anchored in weight and heat. The result reads as fierce on the skin but intimate at arm's length — moderate projection, long staying power, the kind of fragrance that announces itself by simply being there rather than by filling a room.
The peach and raspberry top is bright but brief — give it twenty minutes and the composition shifts entirely into the incense-and-amber register, so don't judge it by the first spray. Sillage stays moderate, so two sprays on pulse points is enough; it builds warmth on skin over the first hour rather than projecting outward. A layer of unscented moisturizer underneath helps the vanilla and cashmere musk base cling through a full day.
