The story behind the bottle.
High Tide by Burberry, created in 2017 by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, is a Floral Aquatic fragrance that captures the essence of a refreshing coastal breeze. The composition opens with bright bergamot and aldehydes, which create an ozonic freshness reminiscent of sea spray. This marine note then gives way to a heart of jasmine and hedione, adding a touch of floral warmth. The base notes of violet leaf, oakmoss, and mossy accords bring a grounding earthiness that complements the aquatic top notes.
High Tide's marine top notes are bright but fleeting, so layer it with a moisturizer for added longevity. The mossy base develops slowly, making it ideal for daytime wear when you want a subtle yet enduring scent.
