Launched in 2020 by By Kilian, Angels Share is a fragrance that pays homage to its creator's rich heritage as an heir to the famed Hennessy cognac family. Created by perfumer Benoist Lapouza, this Oriental Vanilla scent captures the essence of 'angels' share,' the evaporation of liquor in oak barrels during aging. Opening with notes of Cognac, it quickly transitions into a heart of cinnamon and tonka bean, grounded by a base of vanilla, praline, and sandalwood. The distinctive gourmand profile has notably gone viral on TikTok, making Angels Share one of the most-hyped niche fragrances on the platform.
One or two sprays are enough to capture the essence. The Cognac and cinnamon notes open up quickly but fade within an hour; the praline and vanilla base carries the scent for hours after. Best enjoyed close to skin rather than diffused into a room.
