Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1996 by Celine, Magic is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women created by perfumers Sophia Grojsman and Alain Astori. The composition opens with the bright, zesty notes of clementine and pear, giving way to a lush heart of orchid, rose, jasmine, and lily-of-the-valley. This floral blend is anchored by woody, powdery, and musky base notes like sandalwood, patchouli, and amber, creating an enveloping warmth that makes the fragrance feel both fresh and cozy.
Apply this fragrance in layers for a more nuanced experience — start with one spray on your pulse points, then add another layer after an hour as the heart notes begin to bloom. It’s best suited for daytime wear due to its bright top notes, which gradually transition into a warm, comforting base.
