The story behind the bottle.
Venise, launched by Diptyque in 2021 and created by perfumer Cécile Matton, is a Woody fragrance that captures the essence of an evocative journey through the city of Venice. The composition opens with aromatic and green notes, creating a fresh spicy atmosphere that mimics the vibrant energy of Venice's bustling streets. As it evolves, woody and earthy accords ground the scent, reflecting the lasting charm of its ancient architecture and winding canals.
Given its moderate longevity and sillage, Venise works best with a light to medium application. The aromatic opening is bright but fades within an hour, so layering it can enhance the woody base that carries through the day.
