Launched in 2010 by Diptyque, Eau Duelle Eau de Toilette is a fragrance that challenges expectations with its distinctive treatment of vanilla. Perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin crafts this composition to present vanilla as a dry and spicy note, almost green, contrasting it against the cold, smoky essence of black tea and incense. This approach marks a departure from the sweet gourmand notes prevalent at the time, offering a fresh perspective on classic ingredients.
Apply Eau Duelle with a light touch; the dry and spicy vanilla note opens up quickly but can become overpowering if too much is used. The smoky black tea and incense notes emerge gradually, making it ideal for evening wear when you want layers of scent to unfold throughout the night.
