Bois Doré by Van Cleef & Arpels, launched in 2017 and crafted by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, is a composition that balances the warmth of vanilla and almond with the earthy depth of tobacco and woody accords. The fragrance opens with black pepper and mineral notes, creating an intriguing tension before settling into a heart of creamy vanilla and nutty tonka bean. Cedar and teak wood provide a sturdy foundation, while musk adds a powdery, enveloping finish. This blend creates a scent that is both comforting and intriguing, perfect for those who appreciate complexity.
