Bois d'Iris by Van Cleef & Arpels was launched in 2009 as part of the brand's luxurious Haute Couture perfume collection, which includes six fragrances created with high-quality raw materials. This particular scent is crafted by perfumer Émilie Coppermann and features a distinctive blend of iris, vetiver, ambergris, and salt. The composition opens with a hint of salt that introduces an earthy freshness before the rich, powdery notes of iris take center stage. Vetiver adds a woody warmth to the base, while ambergris lends an animalic depth that grounds the fragrance.
