The story behind the bottle.
Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef & Arpels was launched in 2010 and created by perfumers Domitille Michalon Bertier and Olivier Polge. This oriental fragrance for men opens with aromatic notes of bergamot, Amalfi lemon, and holly, before transitioning into a heart of rosemary and tea that adds an intriguing complexity. The base is dominated by leather, styrax, lily-of-the-valley, tonka bean, incense, benzoin, almond, and amber, creating a smoky, warm, and balsamic ambiance with an animalic undertone. This composition captures the essence of Parisian nightlife, where the city's rich history mingles with modern sophistication.
Apply this parfum in small amounts — it's concentrated enough to linger for hours. The smoky leather base develops slowly, so one or two sprays will ensure that the fragrance builds naturally throughout the evening.
