Eau de Shalimar by Guerlain, launched in 2008 and crafted by perfumer Mathilde Laurent, is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance that marries the crisp freshness of citrus with the warm embrace of vanilla and powdery woods. The composition opens with a vibrant burst of lime, bergamot, and orange, creating a bright and uplifting top note. As it settles, jasmine and rose add a floral sweetness that perfectly balances the rich, creamy vanilla base. Iris and resin contribute a balsamic warmth, rounding out the scent with a touch of sophistication.

Application Tips
Eau de Shalimar has a long-lasting base but a relatively short-lived top note. Apply more liberally to ensure the full warmth of the vanilla and powdery accords can shine through as the citrus fades. It pairs well with light layers during transitional seasons.
