The story behind the bottle.
Lauder for Men by Estée Lauder was launched in 1985 and created by perfumer Nicholas Calderone. This aromatic fougère fragrance opens with a vibrant burst of green notes, juniper berries, and clary sage, instantly setting the tone with freshness and earthiness. The heart melds floral essences like carnation, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, and rose with warm spices such as cardamom and coriander, creating an intricate blend that’s both complex and inviting. The base notes of vetiver, oakmoss, patchouli, sandalwood, cedar, amber, vanilla, and musk anchor the composition in a rich, woody warmth.
Apply two sprays on each pulse point. The green and spicy top notes are immediate but short-lived, so rely on the vetiver and woodsy base to carry the scent through the day. This fragrance is best suited for daytime wear, where its fresh yet warm character shines.
