The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2015 by Etro, Marquetry is a fragrance that weaves together the rich tradition of Italian craftsmanship with contemporary olfactory artistry. The composition opens with a bright blend of lavender and bergamot, which cuts through the sweetness of peach, creating an unexpected tension. As it settles into its heart and base notes, peru balsam and tonka bean mingle with rose and vanilla, offering a warm embrace that feels both classic and modern.
Marquetry is best applied lightly to allow its layers to unfold naturally. The aromatic top notes are fleeting, so a quick re-application can help maintain that initial brightness throughout the day. It's particularly suited for cooler evenings when the warmth of the base notes becomes more pronounced.
