Launched in 2015, Sweet Morphine by Ex Nihilo is a floral fragrance that marries powdery and earthy notes into an enveloping embrace. Perfumer Natalie Gracia-Cetto crafted this composition with a focus on the intricate balance between fresh bergamot and mimosa absolute, which provide a bright opening before giving way to the heart of iris and rose. The base notes of orris, vetiver, and patchouli add depth and warmth, creating an overall effect that is both comforting and sophisticated.
For Sweet Morphine, two sprays are sufficient as it blooms gradually on the skin. The fresh top notes dissipate within an hour, but the powdery and earthy base notes linger longer. This fragrance is best suited for daytime wear when its warmth can complement a cozy atmosphere.
