Launched in 2014, Amethyst by Floris is a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance for women, crafted by perfumer Shelagh Foyle. This composition opens with the bright zest of lemon and passionfruit, balanced by the lush sweetness of big strawberry and mango. The heart notes of jasmine and orange blossom introduce an airy floral essence, which then transitions into a powdery vanilla and amber base that adds warmth without becoming heavy-handed. Amethyst encapsulates the spirit of Floris — a brand known for its long-standing tradition of elegance and quality since 1730.
Amethyst blooms best when applied to pulse points and left to develop naturally. The fruity top notes are fleeting, so layering it over lotion can enhance their impact. Avoid over-application as the powdery base is designed to provide a subtle, lasting warmth.

Shelagh Foyle began her career in laboratories at Yardley of London, then trained at Givaudan's perfumery school in Switzerland, and later directed perfumery creation at Robertet, where she was elected President of the British Society of Perfumers.
