Turnbull & Asser 71/72, launched in 2016 by Floris and crafted by perfumer Penny Ellis, is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for men that marries the freshness of citrus with the warmth of woody notes. The composition opens with bright bergamot and mandarin orange, balanced by aromatic lavender and juniper, before transitioning into a heart of jasmine and orris. The base layers in oud, amberwood, sandalwood, and incense, creating an enveloping warmth that feels both modern and lasting.
This fragrance develops best when applied to pulse points and allowed time to settle. The top notes are bright but dissipate quickly, so focus on the base for lasting warmth. Best suited for daytime wear due to its crisp opening.
