Launched in 2022 as a Parfum extension of the original Armani Code from 2004, this fragrance by Antoine Maisondieu adds an iris heart to the classic tonka-vanilla-lemon accord. The result is a composition that some reviewers hail as a smoother and more sustainable take on the original, while others find it overly sweet and vanilla-toned, perhaps lacking the edge of its predecessor. Armani Code Parfum opens with fresh bergamot and aldehydes before settling into a heart of iris and clary sage, eventually resting on a base of tonka bean and cedar. This balance between crisp freshness and warm, powdery notes creates a scent that is both familiar and refined.
Apply two sprays to the pulse points and let it develop over time. The initial freshness of bergamot fades quickly, but the powdery iris and tonka bean notes linger close to the skin throughout the day.
