Incense & Cedrat by Jo Malone London, crafted by perfumer Marie Salamagne and launched in 2015, is an Oriental Woody fragrance that marries the crispness of lemon with the warmth of incense. The composition begins with a fresh spicy citrus note from lemon and pepper, creating a vibrant opening that transitions into the heart where elemi resin and olibanum add depth and complexity. This leads to a balsamic base of labdanum and benzoin, offering an enveloping warmth that lingers throughout the day.
Apply this fragrance with two sprays — the cedrat notes are bright and quickly fade, making way for the deeper amber and balsamic base. It’s best worn in cooler weather when the warmth of the incense and woody accords can truly shine.
