The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2014 and crafted by perfumer Christine Nagel, Wood Sage & Sea Salt is a refreshing aromatic fragrance from Jo Malone London. The composition opens with the bracing freshness of grapefruit and ambrette seed, before settling into a heart of sage and sea salt that evokes coastal air and mineral textures. This scent captures the essence of a British beach, offering a feeling of freedom and natural sophistication. Nagel’s aim was to evoke the spirit of escape and pleasure, creating a complex blend of wood and sea that feels both fresh and grounding.
This fragrance is best applied in light sprays to allow its complex notes to unfold gradually. The marine and salty accords are most noticeable initially but give way to a warm, herbaceous base that lasts throughout the day. Ideal for daytime wear when you want a fresh, natural scent.
