Launched in 2017 by Maison Martin Margiela and crafted by Violaine Collas, Sailing Day is a composition that captures the essence of an ocean breeze on a crisp day. The fragrance opens with marine and aldehydic notes, creating a fresh, aquatic atmosphere that feels like standing at the water's edge. As it develops, the scent introduces warm amber and woody accords, grounding the freshness in a subtle depth that evokes the complexity of the sea.
Apply Sailing Day lightly to your pulse points — its marine notes are strong and project well. The scent develops over time, so give it about an hour for the amber and woody base notes to fully emerge. It’s best worn during cooler weather when the fresh top notes can shine without overpowering.
