Launched in 1947, Joyeux Été by Lancôme is a Chypre Floral fragrance that captures the essence of a carefree summer day. The composition opens with galbanum and bergamot, creating an aromatic and green freshness that sets a lively tone. This gives way to a heart of marigold, lily-of-the-valley, rose, jasmine, narcissus, and orchid, offering a bouquet of floral notes that are both delicate and vibrant. The base notes of orris root, musk, oakmoss, benzoin, tonka bean, and cedar provide warmth and depth, rounding out the fragrance with a powdery, balsamic finish.
Apply Joyeux Été in light layers to let its delicate floral heart notes bloom gradually. The green and aromatic top notes dissipate quickly, so a second application after an hour can enhance the overall experience.
