The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2010 as part of Le Labo's collaboration with Anthropologie, Poudre D’Orient is an exquisite chypre fragrance inspired by the historical era of perfumery when handcrafted natural ingredients were used. The composition opens with a powdery and patchouli accord that adds depth and complexity, leading into a heart of violet and musky notes, which are further enriched by vanilla, woody, warm spicy, and balsamic elements. This fragrance is a proof of the brand's commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
One to two sprays is sufficient — the powdery opening notes are immediate but give way to a warm base that develops over time. This fragrance stays close to skin rather than projecting widely, making it ideal for daytime wear or any setting where a subtle presence is preferred.
