Dancing On The Moon by Maison Martin Margiela is a composition that balances the bright crispness of aldehydes with the warmth and depth of musk and ambergris. Launched in 2016, this fragrance opens with a sharp, fresh aldehyde note that gives way to the lush florals of frangipani and jasmine sambac. The heart is anchored by iris, adding an earthy contrast to the sweetness above. The base notes of cashmeran, musk, and ambergris create a powdery warmth that lingers long after the initial burst of floral brightness.
Apply one or two sprays to pulse points. The aldehydic top note fades quickly after about an hour, so it's best used for daytime events. As the floral heart settles in, the fragrance becomes more intimate and warm, making it perfect for evening wear.
