The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2008 by Marc Jacobs and crafted by perfumer Andrea Lupo, Splash The Basil 2008 is a vibrant Aromatic Green fragrance for both women and men. It opens with the freshness of basil and lemon, paired with the unexpected green note of tomato leaf, creating an invigorating contrast that feels like walking into a sunlit garden. As it settles, freesia and jasmine mingle in a soft floral heart, before musk, sandalwood, and cashmere wood provide a warm, enveloping base.
Apply this fragrance in the morning for a full day of freshness. The basil and lemon top notes are bright but fade within an hour; the musk and wood base notes provide a warm finish that lasts well into the evening.
