The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2008 by Jo Malone London, Dark Amber & Ginger Lily is an Oriental Woody fragrance created by perfumer Andrea Lupo. This composition opens with the zesty warmth of ginger and black cardamom, leading to a heart of floral notes like water lily, orchid, jasmine, and rose. The base is anchored by sandalwood, black amber, kyara incense, patchouli, and leather, creating a rich blend that balances spicy freshness with deep woody warmth.
Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points — the spiciness of the top notes is immediate but fades quickly. The rich woodsy base takes about an hour to fully settle in, so let it develop close to skin rather than projecting across a room.
