Launched in 2008 and crafted by perfumer Andrea Lupo, Splash The Grapefruit 2008 by Marc Jacobs is a vibrant Citrus Aromatic fragrance for both women and men. It opens with the zesty freshness of grapefruit, cutting through the sweetness of orange blossom and freesia to create a dynamic contrast that feels invigorating yet soft. Ginger adds a subtle heat, balancing the citrus notes with a fresh spicy accord before settling into an amber-musky base that is both warm and slightly animalic.
One or two sprays is enough — the grapefruit top note fades within an hour but leaves behind a warm and comforting musky base. It reads best close to skin rather than across a room.
