The story behind the bottle.
Michael for Men by Michael Kors, launched in 2001 and crafted by perfumer Harry Frémont, is an aromatic fougère fragrance that blends warm spices with woody accords and a hint of tobacco. The composition opens with star anise and cinnamon, creating a spicy, almost incense-like warmth, which contrasts beautifully with the fresh citrus notes of bergamot. As it settles, dried fruits like plum add a subtle sweetness to the mix, while patchouli and sandalwood provide a grounding base that feels both familiar and refined.
Apply one or two sprays to ensure that the spicy top notes don't overpower. The fragrance develops gradually over time, with the warm spices giving way to the rich tobacco and balsamic undertones. It pairs well for both daytime wear and into the evening.
