The story behind the bottle.
Frank Voelkl, the nose behind Michael Malul London's 831 San Lucas, crafted this aromatic woody composition to evoke a sense of grounded confidence. Launched in 2022, it opens with the crisp freshness of bergamot and apple leaf before cardamom adds a warm, spicy kick. The heart notes of lavender and geranium bring an herbal complexity, while iris lends a subtle depth. Sandalwood, cedar, and tonka bean form a powdery, woody base that grounds the composition without overpowering it.
One to two sprays is enough for this fragrance. The citrus and apple leaf notes are vibrant but fade quickly, so it’s best applied just before you need it. The base notes develop gradually over time, making it perfect for an office environment where a subtle, long-lasting scent is ideal.
