L'Extase Caresse de Roses by Nina Ricci, launched in 2016 and crafted by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, is a floral fragrance that captures the essence of delicate rose petals. The composition opens with fresh notes of pear and bergamot, leading into a heart of Turkish and Bulgarian roses, peony, and lily-of-the-valley. These are complemented by raspberry and violet, creating a sweet yet powdery base anchored by white musk and patchouli. This fragrance is quintessentially feminine, blending the crispness of fresh florals with the warmth of soft, enveloping musks.
This fragrance blooms best when applied to pulse points for a gentle warmth. The fresh top notes dissipate quickly, giving way to the enveloping rose and musk base that lasts throughout the day. It pairs well with light fabrics like cotton or silk.
