Launched in 1986 by Lancôme, O Intense is a chypre floral fragrance that encapsulates the essence of French elegance and sophistication. Created by perfumer Florence Idier, it opens with bright green notes and fruity accents like peach and apricot, which give way to a heart of white florals including ylang-ylang, jasmine, and tuberose. The composition is further enriched with powdery orris root and carnation, while the base offers earthy and woody undertones from oakmoss, cedar, and amber. O Intense was one of Lancôme's early ventures into creating a fragrance that blended modern freshness with classic floral notes, making it stand out in the perfume landscape of the 1980s.
