The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1999, Oscar for Men by Oscar de la Renta is a Woody Spicy fragrance that balances fresh citrus and aromatic notes with warm spices and deep woody undertones. The composition opens with the brightness of bergamot and mandarin orange, which contrasts beautifully against the rich warmth of pepper and nutmeg. As it evolves, violet leaf and lavender add an herbal layer before settling into a heart of jasmine, lily, and rose. The base notes of balsam fir, incense, sandalwood, musk, leather, and vanilla create a complex yet harmonious blend that feels both modern and lasting.
Apply two sprays to ensure the fresh citrus notes are balanced by the deeper woody base. The fragrance evolves gradually, so it’s best to let it settle for about 10 minutes before heading out.
