The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2009 by Yves Saint Laurent, La Nuit de l'Homme is a luminous nocturne that opens with bright bergamot and cardamom before settling into a sophisticated embrace of cedarwood and lavender. The fragrance evolves into a warm, earthy finish where cumin and vetiver create an intoxicating depth—a scent that feels both refined and sensually grounded, as though twilight itself has been captured in a bottle. Its distinctive cardamom-lavender-cedar-vetiver structure became one of the most widely referenced and imitated masculine accords of the 2010s.
La Nuit de l'Homme has moderate longevity and sillage, so aim for two sprays to ensure the fragrance develops fully. The cardamom opening is bright but fades within an hour, making it ideal for a night out where you want a warm, earthy presence that stays close to your skin.
