The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016 by Yves Saint Laurent, L'Homme Ultime is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance created by the perfumers Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion, and Juliette Karagueuzoglou. The composition opens with fresh and spicy notes like ginger and grapefruit, creating an immediate sense of vibrancy and energy. This freshness gives way to a heart of rose, sage, and geranium, adding layers of warmth and complexity. The base notes of cedar, vetiver, and cashmere wood bring a deep, enveloping richness that grounds the fragrance with sophistication.
Apply this fragrance with two sprays to capture both its bright opening and deeper base notes. The scent is well-balanced between projection and longevity, making it ideal for daytime or evening wear. Allow a few minutes for all layers to meld together before heading out.
