The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2013 by Yves Saint Laurent, L'Homme Libre Cologne Tonic is an aromatic aquatic fragrance crafted by perfumer Olivier Polge. The composition opens with watery notes and lemon verbena, creating a fresh and invigorating start. This crispness is balanced by the warmth of pink pepper and aldehydes, adding a subtle complexity. As it develops, violet and basil introduce a soft herbal touch, while vetiver and cashmeran provide depth and grounding. The base notes of musk, amber, and leather offer a warm and sensual finish.
Apply one or two sprays in the morning for optimal freshness. The watery and citrus notes are most prominent initially but give way to the deeper base notes over time, making it ideal for daytime wear.
