Launched in 2005 by Bvlgari and crafted by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, Aqva Pour Homme is a landmark fragrance that defined the marine trend of the early-to-mid-2000s. This aromatic aquatic composition opens with bright citrus notes like mandarin orange and petitgrain, giving way to the signature Posidonia oceanica seaweed — a distinctive marine note that anchors its aquatic identity more distinctly than generic 'ozonic' accords. The heart of lavender and cotton flower softens the crispness before settling into woody and powdery bases, creating an overall sense of freshness and sophistication.
Aqva Pour Homme has a bright opening that fades quickly, so two sprays are recommended to ensure the seaweed and woody notes have time to develop. It's best for daytime wear when you want an aromatic freshness that feels like a seaside breeze.
