Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Papyrus Oud opens with a luminous burst of saffron—golden, slightly peppery, unexpectedly fresh—before descending into a rich, resinous heart where papyrus and oud intertwine like ancient script on weathered parchment. This composition is both intellectually compelling and sensually grounding, as if inhaling the dusty warmth of a scholar's library mixed with desert musk. Created by Michel Almairac in 2018 for Parle Moi de Parfum, Papyrus Oud stands out for its balance between the fresh and the ancient.
Papyrus Oud is long-lasting and moderate in sillage, so a single spray will suffice. It blooms best close to the skin rather than spreading widely through the air. Ideal for evenings or cooler weather when you want a fragrance that feels both warm and thoughtful.
