Steam by Perfumer H, launched in 2025 and crafted by Lyn Harris, is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that captures the essence of warmth and complexity. The composition opens with green tea and Italian mandarin, offering a crisp freshness that gives way to the spicy notes of coriander and black pepper. At its heart, plum adds a subtle sweetness, while birch tar and virginia cedar contribute an earthy smokiness. The base is anchored by juniper and sandalwood, creating a warm and leathery finish. This fragrance balances fresh and woody elements to evoke the rich layers of steam rising from a pot.
Steam is best applied in layers to allow its various notes to unfold. The green tea and citrus top notes are vibrant but fleeting, so a second application after an hour can enhance their presence. This fragrance reads better close to skin than across a room, making it ideal for intimate settings or personal enjoyment.
