The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2011, La Fumée by Miller Harris is an Oriental Woody fragrance crafted by Lyn Harris. The composition opens with elemi and lavender, setting a fresh aromatic tone before the warmth of incense and cardamom takes center stage. This smoky heart blends seamlessly into a base of sandalwood, birch, and agarwood (oud), creating an enveloping warmth that feels like wrapping oneself in a cozy blanket. The contrast between the bright top notes and the deep, rich base makes La Fumée a fragrance with depth and character.
Apply one or two sprays on pulse points — the incense and elemi are bright but quickly merge into the smoky heart. Allow it an hour for the base notes to fully integrate; this fragrance reads better close to skin than in the air.
