Lost Cause by Phlur, crafted by perfumer Gil Clavien in 2022, opens with a burst of green leaves and bergamot that feels like the crisp freshness of early spring. The heart is dominated by dew drop and lily-of-the-valley, creating an aquatic and floral accord that feels both clean and lush. As it dries down, the fragrance shifts to a warm base of ambergris and vanilla orchid, offering a sweet and comforting finish.
Apply Lost Cause with two sprays to allow it to develop fully on your skin. The green and citrus top notes are bright and fleeting, so you'll want the base notes to come through after about an hour. It’s best for daytime wear when its fresh and warm qualities can shine.

Gil Clavien Giannoni, raised near the Matterhorn in Switzerland, earned a master's in biology from the University of Geneva in 1989 before joining Firmenich as an Assistant Perfumer, working with Tony Morris and Francis Deleamont.
