Poivre by Caron, launched in 1954 and crafted by Michel Morsetti, is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that captures the essence of French elegance with its warm and spicy character. Michel Morsetti was assistant to Ernest Daltroff, founder of the House of Caron, helping build the house from its early-1900s beginnings alongside Raoul Daltroff and creative director Félicie Wanpouille. He went on to become a celebrated perfumer in his own right, creating Or et Noir (1949) in homage to Daltroff, and both Poivre and Coup de Fouet (1954).
