Launched in 2026, Purple Love by M. Micallef is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance crafted by perfumer David Chieze. The composition opens with the bright zest of bergamot and almond, quickly giving way to a heart of ylang-ylang and orange blossom, which adds a soft floral sweetness. This delicate balance is further enhanced by notes of chocolate and rose, before settling into a warm musky base that includes vanilla and madeleine-like undertones. The result is a fragrance that feels both comforting and intriguing, with layers of complexity that keep it engaging throughout the day.

David Chieze, born and raised in France, studied chemistry before training as a perfumer, starting at L'Artisan Parfumeur's boutique, where after hours he practiced reconstructing classic accords. He was discovered and mentored for a year by Bertrand Duchaufour, who introduced him to Mark Buxton; the two now create fragrances together at LUZI's Paris office, with work for Electimuss, Kajal, and Thomas de Monaco, and an Art and Olfaction Award nomination for Anti Anti.
