Launched in 1998 by Rochas, Alchimie is an Oriental Floral fragrance created by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. The composition opens with the bright and juicy notes of peach, plum, and mandarin orange, leading to a heart filled with lush florals like lilac, wisteria, jasmine, and rose. These sweet and delicate aromas give way to a warm and powdery base of vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood, amber, and musk, creating an overall effect that is both comforting and alluring.
For best effect, apply Alchimie to pulse points where it can warm on the skin. The fruity top notes are fleeting but vibrant, so follow up with a light spritz after an hour for sustained impact. It reads better close to skin than in open air.
