The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2018 by Salvatore Ferragamo and crafted by perfumer Domitille Michalon Bertier, Terra Rossa is a unisex Oriental fragrance that captures the essence of rich earth and warm spices. The composition opens with bitter orange and bergamot, creating an initial brightness that quickly gives way to deeper notes like rose and patchouli. These heart notes are enveloped by a base of labdanum, cypress, amber, tonka bean, and ambertonic, which together evoke the warmth and richness of terra rossa soil. This fragrance is not just about the olfactory experience but also embodies the brand's legacy of Italian craftsmanship and elegance.
Apply Terra Rossa sparingly to allow its rich notes to unfold gradually. The labdanum and tonka bean base can be quite intense, so a single spray on pulse points will suffice. This fragrance blooms best when worn close to skin rather than diffused into the air.
