Launched in 2025 by Rania J, Samar Kand is a fragrance that balances the brightness of citrus with the warmth of vanilla and wood. Perfumer Rania Jouaneh crafted this Oriental Vanilla scent to be both fresh and enveloping. The composition opens with sweet orange and bergamot, giving way to blackcurrant and ylang ylang, creating an initial burst of fruity and floral notes. As it settles, osmanthus and geranium add a soft, spicy touch, while caramel and tonka bean bring out the sweetness. The base is anchored by musk, oud, amber, sandalwood, and patchouli, which ground the fragrance with earthy warmth.

Rania Jouaneh was born in Jordan, the great-granddaughter of a Middle Eastern spice trader, and moved with her family through Morocco before settling in France. After working in business management and tourism, she trained in perfumery at Cinquième Sens in Paris in her late thirties, gaining recognition for her fragrance Ambre Loup in 2012 and going on to found the niche brand Rania J.
