The story behind the bottle.
Patchouli in Rye, created by perfumer Céline Barel and launched by Scents of Wood in 2022, is a composition that balances the earthy warmth of patchouli with the sweetness of vanilla and rose. The fragrance opens with a fresh spicy accord, giving way to a heart of rich amber before settling into a woody, balsamic base. This blend creates an intriguing tension between the boldness of its individual notes and the overall sense of warmth and comfort it exudes.
Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points — the patchouli note is robust but doesn't overpower. The fragrance develops best when it has time to settle on skin, so give it about an hour before its full depth becomes apparent.
